How to remove bike Fuel Tank Rust?

Hello Dear Motorcycle Community

I’ve noticed a lot of rust are there inside my bike's fuel tank. Can these make harm to my bike's engine? What are the best ways to remove rust from the tank? Are there any preventive measures to stop it from coming back?
